Omar Flores

Field Supervisor 

Omar Flores is a dedicated Field Supervisor at Akehurst Landscape Service, bringing more than 15 years of hands-on experience and leadership to the green industry. Originally from Guatemala and now living in Baltimore, Omar began his landscaping career in 2008 at Brickman as a laborer. Through hard work and persistence, he rose through the ranks as a driver and then crew leader before joining Akehurst in 2018.

Since joining the Akehurst team, Omar has earned recognition for his commitment and excellence, receiving the “Support Staff of the Year” award three times—in 2018, 2021, and 2022. These honors are a testament to the pride he takes in his work and the impact he has on his team and the clients they serve.

Outside of work, Omar is a proud father of two, a devoted partner, and an avid fisherman. He’s a passionate supporter of Real Madrid soccer and enjoys traveling—his favorite destination being Niagara Falls. Raised in a Christian household, Omar carries with him the values instilled by his parents: love, respect, and compassion for all people, regardless of their background. He is especially passionate about helping those in need, always seeking ways to give back and uplift others.

Omar’s strong work ethic, integrity, and genuine care for people continue to make him a respected leader and a valued member of the Akehurst family.
