Kate Mathias

Kate Mathias serves as the Accounts Payable Manager at Akehurst Landscape Service where she brings a wealth of experience, precision, and a strong work ethic to the company’s financial operations. With a diverse professional background and a deep-rooted sense of responsibility, Kate plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of Akehurst’s financial processes.

Kate’s career path is as dynamic as her personal life. Before joining Akehurst, she worked in a variety of roles including receptionist, medical office assistant, insurance broker, and professional dog trainer. Each adding to her broad skill set and ability to adapt quickly to new challenges. Her journey also includes an impressive chapter in the arts. After attending a boarding school for dance, she danced professionally with the Ballet Theatre of Maryland in Annapolis directly out of high school. She even brought her performance skills to the arena of Medieval Times.

Originally from the East Coast, Kate has lived in Maryland, Virginia, and California. She is happily married and a proud mother of three. Her household is full of life, shared with three dogs, three cats, a lizard, and a horse (not living in the house, lol). When she’s not managing accounts or spending time with her family, Kate enjoys horseback riding, her favorite pastime and lifelong passion.
