Jay Tarleton serves as Chief Financial Officer at Akehurst Landscape Service, where he combines strategic financial insight with a passion for supporting strong, value-driven teams. A graduate of Frostburg State University, Jay’s college years were filled with activity, he was a runner, tennis player, and member of the marching band. Laying the foundation for the energy and discipline he brings to his role today.

A lifelong Baltimore Orioles fan, Jay’s love for the game goes back to his youth, when he proudly served as the Orioles’ bat boy in 1992. Though he once dreamed of playing professional baseball, he found his calling in finance, where he brings the same focus, determination, and team spirit to his work every day.



Jay is also a devoted husband and loving father, balancing professional excellence with a strong commitment to family life. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling (especially to England), collecting and playing pinball, and cheering on the Orioles. Known for his open-minded nature and ability to truly listen, Jay is a thoughtful leader who values collaboration and connection in every aspect of life.
