Dave Tritt 

Fleet Manager

For over 12 years, Dave Tritt has served as the Fleet Manager at Akehurst Landscape Service, bringing more than three decades of experience in maintenance management to the role. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Dave’s leadership has reshaped how the company approaches fleet care, reducing waste, improving safety, cutting downtime, and ensuring the equipment not only runs better but looks the part, too. His work has led directly to increased productivity, greater team morale, and fewer breakdowns.


Born in Fort Lauderdale, Dave moved throughout the eastern U.S. during his youth, collecting experiences and building a strong sense of resilience along the way. Dave is as passionate about motorcycles and motorsports as he is about civil rights, freedom, and helping others. These values drive not only his work ethic but also the way he treats his colleagues, with respect, honesty, and a focus on people over process.


Dave’s approach is simple but powerful: “I’m less concerned about the industry as a whole and more concerned about the people I work with every day in the trenches. My goal is to make sure they have the support they need to do their job safely, efficiently, effectively, profitably, and with excellence.”


He believes the foundation of professional success lies in hard work, dependability, dedication, teamwork, genuine concern for others, and being a person of your word. One of Dave’s favorite Akehurst memories reflects that spirit: the day longtime colleague Tom Beishl gifted him a case full of 8-tracks, just the right touch of nostalgia for Dave’s classic 1979 Cadillac.
